Homo Sapien Sapiens
Homo Sapien Sapiens, otherwise known as the "Doubly Wise Man", are modern humans. That's us! The "Doubly Wise Man" made complex tools and weapons like the bow and arrow and the spear thrower. These people stopped being as nomadic and settled down in places to stay there for a little while. They are about 6 feet tall and their minds are fully mature. ( However our brains are still developing and in the future may be even more advanced!) These people started telling stories and building structures. Homo Sapien Sapiens lived alongside Neanderthals for a long time but eventually Neanderthals went extinct. Scientists don't know why the "Doubly Wise Man" survived and Neanderthals didn't since both forms of humans could make complex tools. One theory is because of their voice boxes being lower than Neanderthals, allowing them to articulate more and communicate better. Homo Sapien Sapiens made many different types of artwork such as paintings on cave walls and carvings in clay or rock. Scientists believe they painted to express themselves.
