akkadian empire
The Akkadian Empire thrived from 2700 B.C.E to 2154 B.C.E. This empire was created by King Sargon of Akkad in 2334 B.C.E., becoming the first empire of the world. The Akkadian Empire went as far as Anatolia in the North, to inner Iran in the East, in the South to Arabia, and to the Mediterranean in the West. Nobody knows why the empire fell, but one idea scientists have is a 300 year drought. They got this theory from inspecting the soil where the Akkadian Empire was.
